California, Virginia, and DC

Ok, so I have been scolded several times (basically by the same couple of people repeatedly...cuz honestly, who else reads this?!) and told that I needed to update my blog. I figured 2 months was a long enough wait to keep folks on their toes, so it's time for an update :)

I have officially moved to California! Wahoo! I love it. The apartment is awesome, the location is ideal, the weather is amazing, work has been great so far. Seriously, who wouldn't want to live 3 miles from the beach and still only have a 15 minute commute to work every day? Its a beautiful thing.

Speaking of work, I am currently in Virginia for training for my new job (so yet again, no pictures in this post, but I swear I will have them soon!). We just got here yesterday after spending over 12 hours in airports/airplanes. I am running off of about 3 hours of sleep right now and should probably be in bed. Unfortunately its after 10 pm here in VA, but only about 7 pm in CA, so I'm pretty wide awake, which means I'm going to hate my life when 6 am rolls around and my body is trying to tell me its 3 am and WAY too early to being getting out of bed...Being an adult sucks. However, during one of our group lecture sessions today, the speaker told us "Lack of sleep. Yeah, that's why all of those people on Tila Tequila are crazy. That's a good show. I prefer Rock of Love, but Tila Tequila's good too..." This coming out of the mouth of a middle aged father of 3 talking to a bunch of tax accountants at a business meeting. I still don't know whether to take him seriously or not. The fact that he even knows what those shows are makes me believe he's serious. Gotta love it.

I get to see my little brother Linc this weekend. He's currently in Baltimore for the summer, and I didn't get to see him before he left for the summer and then I moved so I didn't think I would get a chance to see him for quite awhile. But we're meeting up in DC on Sunday, so I'm pretty pumped....More about seeing DC then seeing him though... :) Hopefully he's not reading this...

More random info: I've been living by myself in Newport for the past couple of weeks, but by the time I get back, Becca will have moved in! Yea! No more watching tv in a half furnished apartment! Wahoo! Now we can get back to our usual life style: still doing nothing worthwhile, but at least we'll be doing nothing together! Right, Becca?

Anyway, I'm going to go try to make myself fall asleep. All I know is if I don't go to sleep soon, no amount of Dr. Pepper is going to keep me awake through the 8 hours of lectures and tax returns I have to look forward to bright and early tomorrow morning... :/

You kill me!....I don't know why it was blocking you...Candice was having the same problems; but they seem to have worked themselves out.

I am glad you finally decided to update too!

As for memories I have several of the same.....although I don't think my driving is that bad!!! DANG! As for " your crazy dreams that eventually turned into friendships/something more (*cough* LUKE *cough*)" I don't even recall this...I mean I recall the whole friendship something more- that really wasn't something more other than I wanted hand holding action. (Man, how desperate was I?!?!) AHHHH! I'm glad I am past that stage! Married life is SOOOOOOOO much better for SOOOOOO many reasons!

Okay on to you and memories, yes the beloved *nsync moments (tv, concerts, dreamworld, etc...). Not to mention the time at bball camp when people thought we were sisters because we had the dance down to a /T/...that was funny! The talks at our "Spots". Do you rmember when we put lemon in our hair to lighten it and it never worked?! HAHA! And to end I will never for get the four words "crystal light" and "chex mix".

Wowsers, this is a long comment! Good luck with work! I'm glad you like it. California was great in May! How about the smoke? Do you have a lot of fires around where you are?

Okay I'm done! Wb asap!

FINALLY! Hey peaches, thanks for the shout out. I will definitely be coming this fall. Count on it. I'm going to time the trip right around when the weather gets super crappy in Provo. It will be perfect.

How's work? We need to chat. I'm having a rough time with the idea of Big 4, and maybe even the public accounting sector as a whole. Maybe you can help me out.

I'll give you a ring soon. I love you and wish you my best!

I stopped checking your blog because you don't write...same goes for Kim haha but both of you updated in the same week so it's been exciting! I hope that you enjoy your traveling and that you did some cool stuff in D.C. I'm excited for you to post pictures! Especially when Becca makes the apartment all cute.

Ah my Katie Ann, I will forever be grateful to Rachael Fellmeth for letting me come to that sleepover where I met you! :) Let me get one thing strait right now, it was ME who walked out of Ms. Husted's class after she WRONGLY ASSUMED that I would talk during class and told me to go sit at the back of the room. Now, if I remember correctly there was some other trouble maker that sat beside me that somehow escaped persecution!!! I wont name any names......Atie-Kay!!!! Anyways, let's see, memories, I suppose I have a few there's dominos pizza (half pepperoni/half pineapple) and dots, can't forget the dots, our fabulous 'twinkle toes' move that wowed our basketball team, the time I burned you on the court by expertly stomping on your foot, shoving you, and running like hell, Heather Hefty & Dr. Vain, your mom's awesome broccoli cheese soup, taking dirty pictures in the elementary school play ground :), and one of my favorite memories, the dance we made to Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous and our UNFORGETABLE performance for Ronnie and Morgan at your grandparents house! Man we are cool
