Well, I WAS dreaming of a white Christmas, and then I came back to Utah and it quickly became a reality. And now I'm dreaming of my sandy beaches again, in the midst of the blizzard raging outside at the moment. Although I must admit, it does feel much more like Christmas now that there is snow on the ground and I'm in a place with a Christmas tree and decorations up. Speaking of Christmas, I just got my first Christmas gift today. It came from the lovely California Board of Accountancy...
I PASSED FAR!!! Go me!
I found out today that I passed my first section of the CPA exam. I was ecstatic. I wasn't sure if I would or not. My goal was to end up in the low 80's -- I figure that if I get higher than that, I just wasted my time studying material that I didn't really need to, but if I get much lower than that than I was cutting it a little close. So I nailed my goal on the head. Now I just have to study for my next section that I'm taking on the 10th. Everybody wish me luck! (PS, Congrats Brittney for passing Reg! Your high score gives me hope that I might pass it pretty soon too!)
In other news, not too much else has changed. Becca has officially moved out, and my new roommate, Jen, has been with me for a couple of weeks now. Although it makes me really sad that Becca is gone, it has been working out really well with Jen and I. Unfortunately we think too much alike, so as soon as Becca collects the rest of her things from the apartment in the next little while, it will look pretty bare. Jen and I will have to tap into our creative/feminine sides to decorate the place and make it look cute again.
I'm officially on vacation now, and at home at my parents place. Its looking like a winter wonderland outside right now. Its beautiful, but I think by the time that I'm leaving I will be more than happy to get back to my lovely coastline. But it is fun being around family right now. I get to see my little neice and nephew, and my other neice wrote a Christmas card to my parents with a picture of a present and the words "Are you knody or nice?" written on the inside. (For those of you not up on reading letters from little ones "knody" = naughty) Amazing. She's hysterical. This is the same neice that as a 5 year old used to chat to me on MSN messenger and once told me that her daddy was in "Flwdu" (Florida).
I hope all of you were more "nice" than "naughty" this year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO i can truly be so excited for you passing FAR. I know how much work it is. And such a relief to get that score. Sounds like you're right on track with studying the right amount. The studying will get less and less for each test :) Good luck on the next!
I was glad to see a little snow in Ivins, and I really was happy with just that little amount. I really didn't NEED to come to northern Utah to see this BLIZZARD! oh well, it's always good to see family.
